Inspiration

My project,Lord of the Forest originated from a folk horror short story I wrote several years ago. I had always dreamed of adapting it into a short film, but the traditional barriers to production—namely costs, equipment, and logistics—were insurmountable. The recent explosion of Artificial Intelligence tools transformed that dream into a tangible reality.

What it does

"Lord of the Forest" is a fully AI-generated folk horror short film that merges a classic human-written narrative with cutting-edge synthesis technology. The film explores the terror of a primordial Forest God worshipped in a secluded native reserve.

How we built it

I used as main tools: ComfyUI, VEO 3.1, KlingAI, Midjourney, Elevenlabs, SUNO.

Challenges we ran into

The primary technical challenge was maintaining visual and character consistency

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We are most proud of successfully completing this work exactly as I imagined it years ago. The proudest accomplishment is the realization of a feature-quality short film

What we learned

The key takeaway is the power of being an "AI Orchestrator." We learned that powerful artistic results can be achieved by a single artist with limited resources

What's next for Lord of the Forest

The next step is to explore a longer-form version—a featurette or pilot—based on the positive reception and technological validation of this short film.
