Inspiration
We were thinking of trying to make the unimaginable and so it led us to creating very different worlds which are all unique from reality, where the player wants to escape back to reality and is trapped.
What it does
It’s a story based game, where the user has to find something weird about each world that differs from the “norm” of that specific world, where this causes an error to occur in the simulated world leading to the regeneration of a completely new world. It is a first person player and you can interact with each world and characters.
How we built it
We built the game using loop engineering with claude skills like /goal to verify the loops and we then prompted in multiple iterations combining each team member’s individual claude code as a group of agents designated with smaller problems to solve, which then combine their solutions to produce our game.
Challenges we ran into
We decided to make a web app and because of this our graphic options were limited and so utilised three.js the best we could have, even though we should have perhaps tried a different software like unity. The GitHub collaboration was very confusing to navigate but we were able to overcome this through using google to learn GitHub’s mechanics.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
The creativity shown when designing the project, the collaboration between all members and being able to produce a finished working game from start to end.
What we learned
We learned that we should have thought about what software to use when planning and not just pick one immediately without looking at pros and cons where in this case we should have used unity but ended up using three.js. We also learned how important design and creativity is when building a project as we spent 6 hours planning in detail what the game should have.
What's next for LOOP
The creation of more worlds, which will be A/B tested for retention and the engaging worlds will be stringed together. Be able to host many players on one Loop game so players can interact in a multiplayer setting.
