Inspiration
Getting paid globally as a business owner is still harder than it should be — especially without a website or technical setup.
Freelancers, small business owners, and creators often rely on fragmented tools: bank transfers, crypto wallets, payment processors — none of which provide a unified, simple experience.
We wanted to solve one clear problem:
→ How can anyone, anywhere, get paid globally with just a link?
LOOP was inspired by the idea of removing friction from global payments and making it as simple as sharing a URL.
What it does
LOOP is a unified payment tool that enables business owners to:
- Create payment links or full invoices in seconds
- Accept payments via card, bank transfer, or crypto
- Share links globally without needing a website
- View real-time balances and transaction history
- Generate and download receipts automatically
- Receive memos from customers and attach notes to payments
- Get real-time notifications for all activity
It also includes a currency conversion system powered by the ExchangeRate plugin, helping users understand the value of payments across borders instantly.
How we built it
We built LOOP entirely using MeDo, leveraging its React + Tailwind + shadcn-based full-stack generation capabilities.
Our approach followed a product-first structure:
Designed a complete user journey:
- landing page → dashboard → invoice → payment → receipt → notifications
Built modular service layers:
- paymentService
- walletService
- transactionService
- notificationService
Implemented dynamic routing for payment links (
/pay/[id])Created a multi-rail payment simulation system:
- card payments (form + processing states)
- bank transfers (account instructions + confirmation)
- crypto payments (wallet address + QR code)
Integrated the ExchangeRate plugin to:
- power a currency converter widget
- display real-time value conversions in invoices
Added persistent state using localStorage to ensure:
- data survives refresh
- payment links remain valid
- transactions and balances are retained
Built additional product layers:
- Profile system (business identity + payout settings)
- Notifications system (real-time activity tracking)
Challenges we ran into
- State persistence: Early versions lost all data on refresh, which broke realism. We solved this by implementing persistent client-side storage.
- Payment link routing: Ensuring dynamic links always resolved correctly required careful ID management and state synchronization.
- Balancing simplicity vs depth: We wanted a powerful system without overwhelming the user, so we continuously simplified flows while preserving functionality.
- Simulating real payment infrastructure: Designing believable flows for card, bank, and crypto without real APIs required thoughtful UX design.
- UI quality and responsiveness: Achieving a premium fintech feel across desktop and mobile required multiple iterations.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
- Built a complete end-to-end payment experience using MeDo
- Created a realistic multi-payment system (card, bank, crypto)
- Integrated a real plugin (ExchangeRate) to enhance global usability
- Designed a clean, premium fintech UI with mobile responsiveness
- Implemented persistent state, making the app feel like a real product
- Delivered a clear separation between business and customer flows
- Added supporting systems (notifications, profile) that improve realism
What we learned
- Simplicity is powerful — reducing steps creates better products
- UX and trust are critical in financial applications
- High-quality simulations can effectively demonstrate real-world systems
- Structuring logic into modular services makes iteration faster
- MeDo can be used not just for UI generation, but for building complete product experiences
What's next for LOOP
- Integrate real payment infrastructure (bank APIs, crypto rails)
- Add authentication and multi-user support
- Enable recurring payments and subscriptions
- Expand invoicing for more complex business use cases
- Add analytics and reporting for business insights
Our long-term vision is to make LOOP a unified global payments layer — simple enough for anyone to use, but powerful enough for real businesses.
