LoomFlows

Inspiration

We were inspired to build LoomFlows because we found that in our previous software projects there was never an efficient way to collect user feedback, that could also give you deep insights. We would constantly get bombarded with vague feedback through emails, which were inefficient for users to submit and didn't provide us with the context and insights we needed to help our users to the best of our capabilities. We just wished that there was an easier way for users to submit feedback that was high quality. The solution? Annotated screenshots and loom video feedback.

What it does

LoomFlows enables software companies to embed a widget, to directly collect annotated screenshot and video feedback directly from their site. Users can then vote on the feedback they want to see implemented, and the software company can see and address all the feedback they received directly through our dashboard.

How we built it

We built the UI part with tailwindcss and shadcn/ui. Also with the help of headless-ui for transitions. For backend we use raw http requests. The auth is handled by next-auth package. For DB we completely use prisma to do the actions and we use zod to validate requests data in the backend.

Challenges we ran into

Enabling user to easily customize each feedback channel widget and also the widget features itself and gathering stats from users websites and show them in their dashboard.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We are really proud of our vision for LoomFlows, we believe we are solving a real pain point that many SaaS businesses face. And we are just glad to keep going down the route of, building software that creates better software.

What we learned

I think our biggest takeaway from this hackathon is that our team really got to learn how to work with each other.

What's next for LoomFlows

We will continue working on LoomFlows, once we have some traction and customers in test flight our goal will be to raise a seed round, and try to build LoomFlows into the next Unicorn. We hope TreeHacks can accelerate us to getting there ;)
