Inspiration
Fashion and e-commerce Sellers generally need a product shoot, a model, polished campaign images and product listing images before a single product can go live on the marketplaces or their e-commerce stores. The process is expensive, slow, involves hiring a model, planning a photoshoot and editing the images, this feels like a lot of hand-offs between teams.
With the advance in AI powered Generative Models this can be done at a fraction of the cost of the traditional way that involves photoshoots, which helps the sellers save their time and go to the market faster
What it does
UnShoot Studio is a workspace for turning raw product images into e-commerce product listing ready and ad ready creatives without PhotoShoots
- Upload the product images or extract them from unclean images without shooting new images
- Build / Create AI powered reusable models
- Select Products, models, locations and light conditions
- Generate Multiple Photoshoot variations from a campaign concept or a meta prompt
How I built it
I used Next.js, TypeScript, Tailwind for application, used firebase for auth, database, storage for image assets.
used nano banana for image generation
Challenges I ran into
- I started a bit late almost less than 12 hours before and started thinking about what Idea I should work and build on , it as hard to debug multiple issues in a short time frame and i was almost ready to give up after few facing bugs
- Keeping a product visually consistent and placing it naturally on the model is harder than simply overlaying 2 images, I had to add reference aware prompting and pose guidance so they look good.
- firebase was a bit buggy with Next.js, things did not work as expected at times
Accomplishments that we're proud of
- I created an end-to-end workflow execution from product upload to reusable product listing and ad campaign assets.
- Meta-Prompts let users work from concepts, automatically from brief, direct instructions.
- Happy that i am submitting a product that has scope to be a micro-SaaS after I was almost about to give up.
- The product, model, photoshoot make the experience feel like real creative rather than one off generator
What we learned
- The best AI experience gives users control over the brief while still reducing repetitive production work.
- Structured outputs make AI features easier to connect to product workflows and be consistent
- sometimes we have to understand the workflow to get the better output
What's next for UnShoot Studio
- Add direct Shopify and Amazon integrations
- Introduce approval, revision, and collaboration flows for creative teams.
- Add stronger product-background removal, mask editing, and fit/placement controls.
- Track asset performance so teams can learn which creative directions convert best.
- Expand image-quality evaluation, brand-style presets, and batch campaign generation for larger catalogs.
- May be add ability to generate video ads for products and product videos also with models in the library
- May be add more Image / Video generation features and integrate with Ad platforms to turn this into a revenue boosting tool
