Look like me

Inspiration

In high school, I was the only black person in my classes. While I had great friends, they were all non-black and didn't understand what I was going through. I would have loved to meet more black people, but there were very low numbers of black people in my city. I know that I am not the only person who feels culturally disconnected, so I made "Look Like Me" for people who don't see a lot of people who look like them.

What it does

Connects minorities with other minorities.

How we built it

Using qoom.

Challenges we ran into

This program was new to me, so everything was a challenge. However, I was able to make a very basic version of this app.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Completing the project on time.

What we learned

I learned that coding is very difficult, but can be super fun!
