Inspiration
We built this project to test our capabilities in building a real project. The idea to build a digital ledger arose from the daily example of errors in human kept ledgers.
What it does
It is a digital ledger that keeps track of all your expenses for you and eliminates the need for keeping physical records thereby reducing human errors.
How we built it
We built it using flutter for front-end and django(python) for back-end.
Challenges we ran into
We ran into a lot of challenges while building this project which we never knew could even arise. A lot of the implementation was something we have never done and we had to really google a lot. back-end was a huge problem as we have absolutely no experience in backend.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We are proud that we managed to build an entire app in mere 2 days albeit not complete and we also proud of mixing handiwork with software.
What we learned
*We learned a lot about the technologies we were working with and also we learned to use design making applications and websites which we used to design our website.
*We learned about django and sqlite3 and also about how the backend of a website manages requests and gives response to the front end.
*Most importantly we learned to properly google to get a solution for our problems
What's next for LONI
Right now it is not complete. We intend to make a complete ledger that will keep track of all expenses and later add the option to clear your dues from the app itself using a payment gateway and also next we'll try to add speech recognition so that you can just say to add an entry in the ledger.
