Long Weekend Flight Tracker

Inspiration

I'm single, but I don't like to travel solo, so I often try to plan trips with friends and family who are scattered across the country. Many of them have limited PTO, so we are usually limited to long weekend trips. I wanted a way for us to find deals that didn't require hours, if not days, of manual searching.

What it does

Users provide their home city and list of destinations they may want to visit. They indicate how many week days they can use for the trip, then the system monitors and alerts any time a "deal" is found. People can create groups to identify "deals" across everyone in the group.

How I built it

I used bolt.new and provided a single prompt.

Challenges I ran into

I don't think bolt.new built much. There's no API integrations or storage.

Actually building it! I'm disappointed in how little bolt.new created, given the marketing about it being able to "one shot" full stack apps. But I think the idea is good, so I'm going to continue working on it.
