Inspiration
Been learning Web dev for the last whole month. Wanted to create a project involving full stack web development.
What it does
It is a dummy website for a fictional tourism company that promotes long beach It takes data from backend database which is implemented in mongo db Displays it to the user. Uses react, express, mongodb, node and many smaller libraries.
How we built it
We used react to build the frontend. Used react-router-dom for routing to different pages. Used nodejs, mongoose and express for building backend server.
Challenges we ran into
So both of us are new to react, and we face a lot of difficulties in importing and managing css. A lot of times we were upset by the difficulties we faced because react is very different from normal css, html
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We were able to create basic layout of our website and we are actually pretty happy about how it looks like.

Learned how to connect front end and backend using axios Learned how to manage css in react and how to connect components together
What's next for Long Beach Tourism Website
We will try to complete sign in Section so that people can make their bookings and business owners can advertise their services.
