Inspiration

This was my medical diploma project, 2 years ago and it got shelved ever since because of more important projects...

What it does

It is a quickly hardening, easy to use and apply gelatine that prevents microorganisms (SARS-CoV2 included) from growing on high-touch surfaces like railing, shopping carts, doorknobs & more. It dries within a couple of minutes and eliminates the need to disinfect those surfaces for 5-20 days.

How I built it

Top secret hardening agents, disinfectants in conformity to WHO recommendations, with 2 pans, a tray, a microwave oven and some basic chemistry knowledge

Challenges I ran into

The legal aspects of producing biocides, creating forms for businesses as well as ways to ship to homes.

Accomplishments that I'm proud of

I applied it on all high touch surfaces in my house and it's behaving exactly as planned. We managed to envision a DIY kit for home use, which is so fun to use.

What I learned

We learned it's easy to create a functioning prototype, but it's very difficult to get that to the market, with all the legal aspects and lack of funding.

What's next for LOLOHEXX

I want to get as much feedback as I can on here, apply it and perhaps come up with a household and industrial product for keeping surfaces clean and people out of (infectious) harm's way
