Inspiration

What happens if you combine a drawing game with resource survival? One stroke creates a resource. That resource feeds animals that defend, animals generate ink, and ink lets you keep drawing while candy monsters raise the pressure. Addictive cycle !

What it does

Drawing collects food. Food feeds/crafts animals. Animals defend & generate ink. Ink allows more drawing. Defeating monsters consumes ink. Defeating monsters gives ink. Monster waves raise the cost of failure.

How we built it

Copilot, GPT mostly.

Challenges we ran into

Stopping AI from hallucinating. Having a super clear vision because it's harder than you think to get AI to do what you want.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Making it super easy to play but keeping addictiveness. Balancing depth with directness. Easy drawing mechanism, combined with fun economy & management.

What we learned

How to psychologically make games addictive. It's not about fancy technical code but human nature. E.g Mystery purple food adds a blind-box gamble: uncertain rewards that can yield the gold and rainbow food needed for progression. This is a simple but surprisingly addictive feature among many
