Inspiration
LokHub was inspired by the increasing cases of sensitive data leaks, especially exam paper leaks and unauthorized document access. These incidents highlight the need for a secure and controlled system for handling confidential documents.
What it does
LokHub is a blockchain-powered digital locker that allows users to securely store, manage, and share documents. It uses authentication and role-based access control to ensure only authorized users can access specific files.
How we built it
The system is designed using React.js for frontend, Node.js for backend, Ethereum smart contracts for access control, and IPFS for decentralized storage. Auth0 is planned for secure authentication and role management.
Challenges we ran into
Integrating secure access control with decentralized storage and ensuring a smooth user experience was challenging. Designing a scalable and secure system required careful planning.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We successfully designed a system that combines blockchain with secure authentication to prevent unauthorized access and document leaks.
What we learned
We learned how authentication, role-based access, and blockchain can work together to build secure systems.
What's next
Future improvements include full Auth0 integration, decentralized identity (DID), and real-world deployment for secure document distribution systems.
