Inspiration - The idea for LogiHub came from the growing need to streamline warehouse operations, especially in environments where inventory accuracy, timely inbound and outbound processing, and real-time visibility are critical. We wanted to create a mobile-first, user-friendly solution that simplifies complex warehouse workflows and reduces manual errors.
What it does - LogiHub manages warehouse operations end-to-end. It handles:
Inbound: Recording received goods, PO matching, and GRN generation.
Outbound: Managing dispatch orders, picking, packing, and delivery notes.
Inventory: Real-time stock tracking, cycle counts, adjustments, and low stock alerts. It also offers dashboards, reports, role-based access, and optional barcode scanning.
How we built it - We built LogiHub using React Native for a mobile-first UI and Firebase as the backend for real-time database operations and authentication. We used Firestore for inventory data and integrated barcode scanning using third-party plugins. UI/UX was designed to be intuitive for warehouse floor use.
Challenges we ran into - Handling partial receipts and multiple item variations per PO.
Ensuring real-time sync with low latency on slow networks. Designing a simple yet powerful interface for users with minimal tech background.
Accomplishments that we're proud of - Seamless integration of inbound, outbound, and inventory modules.
Real-time alerts for stock movements. A clean, responsive UI that works both online and offline.
What we learned - We learned how critical simplicity and accuracy are in warehouse operations. We gained deeper experience in Firebase, barcode integration, and user role management in real-time apps.
What's next for LogiHub - Integrate with ERP systems (e.g., Odoo, SAP).
Add voice-assisted operations for hands-free use. Build predictive restocking using AI/ML. Expand to web version with full reporting suite.
