I don't always see my cousins living in Texas, but when I do, I see them looking at their phones rather than looking at me. I also hear their mother complaining about their grades, which prompted me to solve the problem. Mobile devices have become apart of almost every twenty-first century kid's anatomy; in other words, they are inseparable. Additionally, the more time a child spends on a device, the less time they spending towards mastering their academics. This sweeping generalization is pretty much reality, because last time I checked Flappy Bird and Clash of Clans are not academically related. If my cousins insist on gluing their eyes to their phones and not spending time with me, they ought to be required to practice some form of schoolwork so that their grades improve.
Our product log(Child)+ is here to save the day by forcing kids to complete questions (at this stage, solve math expressions) correctly for time on their device. We do this by locking the device into the app and presenting the child with a problem. If they answer a question correctly they are rewarded with a jelly bean which can redeem for time on the device. The difficulty of the question and how much time is redeemed per jelly bean can be conveniently set by the parent. Although we could not totally implement a website, we plan to set up a system where parents can log in online and check their child's progress and change the settings remotely.
