Inspiration

Right now, it is more important than ever to support local businesses. When you support local businesses, you help hard work and creativity thrive. Consumers today face challenges accessing many local businesses and we wanted to help alleviate that.

What it does

Locl is a ecommerce platform that allows you to purchase from different local businesses and have it delivered right to your door. It utilizes location based services to help you discover all the products around you and allows you get them brought right to you.

How I built it

Locl is a Vue web application that uses Firebase as a Database and backend

Challenges I ran into

Messing up the domain configuration, learning all new technologies and skills and building an ecommerce platform in 24 hours were all challenges that we are glad to have faced

What I learned

We learned new skills from designing and making Locl from figma and UX to content hosting and custom domain configuration

What's next for Locl.

We will move on to signup businesses and build out a local first delivery network for Vancouver
