LockMode Zen - Productivity App of the Zen

I searched for a simple stopwatch, but couldn't find one with tasks. Built LockMode with AI in one prompt instead, now it's a zen focus app. Sometimes the best solutions come from frustration.

Inspiration

I started searching for a stopwatch with tasks and later I saw post on X about One Shot challenge so I tried to create this entire app in one shot so I tried to improvise on the prompt and that's where the improve inspiration came from if I can build this application with one from then I thought that I can build many like that

What it does

The app is pretty simple, you can set your timer, you can set your task, you can analyse your data, how productive you are, without logging, without any hassle. Also, it is privacy-focused, focusing on the data we don't store on our server; the data is stored locally on the users' devices.

How we built it

So I had a goal of building this app with a single prompt I was hoping to create a character or companion but it was a hustle for me so I thought that why not I create an app with orb to give it a zen vibe so I reverse engineered it according to errors I got earlier and improve my prompt accordingly and created it.

Inspiration for the design, I used Google Stitch for the creation of the app, I use bolt.new for PRD I used Claude.

And yes, Gemini Pro 2.5 was used for the final prompt to create the entire app in one shot.

Challenges we ran into

The biggest challenge that I faced was that I had a goal to create the app in one shot, since anything deployable or easy to use, and good is not easy with one prompt. That was tough, but I somehow managed to do it with back and forth from this LLM to that LLM, but at the end of the day, my reverse engineering helped a lot.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

So the biggest achievement for this was I was able to pull up the entire app from design to the app in one prompt and less than 1 hour, and peoples seems to be loving that design

What we learned

I found out that if I used the bolt's prompt enhancer, I was able to get much better results if I was using my prompt when the results were slightly different with bolts from the answer. I was able to get lick much smoother ui and a much more beautiful UI.

What's next for LockMode Zen

The simple goal for lock mode when is that once it reaches are monthly visitors or monthly users of 100 or 200 I will launch a weightless where if people are interested they can come and save the data and they can use the app in multiple devices that's like a simple goal I have.
