Inspiration
We wanted to design a locking system that could be installed anywhere and allow users to securely lock and unlock using rfid tags.
What it does.
3D printed locking mechanism that can be attached anywhere and securely lock and unlock without needing a physical key. This system uses RFID and email notifications for people trying to access the lock.
How we built it
Arduino R4, serve moter, red and greed led, buzzer, RFID reader, Blynk, and custom 3D printed locking mechanism.
Challenges we ran into
The biggest challenge was figuring out the best way to attach the servo motor to the locking mechanism. The way the printer created the lock slider made it hard to screw into it without stripping the screw.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
What we learned
What's next for Lockit
More efficient locking container to display the led, buzzer, and RFID tag.
