The spark for LockIn came from a relatable struggle within our own team. One of our members noticed a significant pattern in his productivity: he was consistently more disciplined and focused when studying with others. However, meeting up in person every day isn't always doable due to schedules and distance. On the flip side, existing "online study rooms" often feel disconnected or devolve into passive browsing.

We realized there was a missing link. Digital study spaces were either too lonely or too distracting. We asked ourselves: Why not create a platform that has everything you need in one place? We wanted to replicate the "library vibe" while using AI to ensure the time spent was actually productive.
