Inspiration

During the lockdown the world switched to virtual and even playing out with friends was not allowed. As we couldn't go outside, most of us found new hobbies at home & found new games to play on laptops, phones, iPads etc. Basically, this boredom inspired us to make this game.

What it does

Our game is about a boy who is bored because of lockdown and finds a game to play. In the game you have to fight the virus which is moving continuously, using vaccines built by us. There are 2 levels; in the first one the virus is moving and you will have to hit it with the vaccines to destroy it. In the second level the virus is invisible and you will have to guess where it is and hit it 4 to 5 times to defeat it. Once you defeat the virus in both the levels you will win and the lockdown will end.

We built it with the following blocks on scratch -

Challenges we ran into

There were many challenges for us, for example when the vaccines were not coming out of the gun but from some other specific position all the time. We had problems with the virus' health bar not decreasing and had problems with making level 2.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Despite all the odds, we could complete building the game within the timelines which gave us a lot of satisfaction & joy.

What we learned

Technically we learned how to use operator blocks, became better at broadcasting blocks but more than that we realized the importance of team work, time management and presentation.

What's next for LOCKDOWN MADNESS

We are planning to add more levels, make it more attractive and interactive so that the audience enjoys the game.
