Lock-o-remoto

Inspiration

We looked at the mercedes at our school and thought, wouldn't it be cool if our bicycle had keys like car keys?

What it does

It entails the following functions:

• lock/unlock functions
• theft prevention function
• remote connection (trigger-lock)
• gps (planned)

How we built it

• catia
• 3d printing

Challenges we ran into

• printer jam the whole day
• arduino code tweaking out
• design kept changing
• wrecking our brains to come up with a flexible design which can be used with many types of sharing bikes

Accomplishments that we're proud of

• the beautiful catia files
• a single non working prototype

What we learned

• iot for microcontrollers (we plan to use it for our fyp :D)

What's next for Lock-o-remoto

• coding out the actual gps capability
• implementation
• improvements to existing design
