Inspiration
Pomodoro timer
What it does
Uses a Computer Vision model to predict the student's focus and keeps track of the time spent. It also uses Gemini to create a study plan and schedule.
How we built it..
We connected a TFT screen to a Raspberry Pi 5 along with a Camera module. Then we installed a Light version of YOLO, which is a computer vision model. Then we whitelisted items to avoid unnecessary items from being detected. We used Pygame to create a cute and friendly game-like front end. And lastly, we used the Gemini API to add the planning and summarization features.
Challenges we ran into
Setting up the Raspberry Pi was the biggest challenge. Once we had the hardware figured out, setting up the correct vision model on a 1 GB RAM limit was quite the challenge.
