Lock’d helps users take back control of YouTube by blurring all videos except those from whitelisted channels. Built as a Chrome extension using JavaScript, Chrome Storage, and MutationObservers, it dynamically hides distractions while keeping favorite content visible. We learned how to handle manifest.json, persist user settings, and inject CSS with javascript. As our whitelist feature currently needs to be hardcoded instead of inputting in the UI, next, we plan to fix and incorporate that in the UI.
