Inspiration
Ive spent the last decade of my career in EdTech SaaS at Rosetta Stone and Lexia Learning. What those 10 years taught me is most digital learning tools have great information but don’t have a proven learning method to deliver the information effectively. I did not start with a niche or topic. I started broad, with a method of learning , and built from there. I chose The Method of Loci or "The Memory Palace" Technique. The Loci method involves visually picturing a place, mentally walk it, and drop one idea at each spot in that place. It is a 2,500 years old method, and it is how memory champions recall hundreds of items in minutes. After the method I chose to digitally deliver the learning method in a game format. A learning method only works if people enjoy using it. Nobody reopens their multiple choice tests and flashcards. Everybody reopens games. Kids especially love Minecraft a Roblox games revolving around building custom 3D world. So METHOD + WORLD GAME = LociWorld.
What it does
LociWorld turns any topic into a 3D world you can walk through and remember. You type what you want to learn, and Claude builds a complete, explorable world around the topic in 30 seconds.
How we built it
Claude Suite... Chat for brainstorming, Cowork for Project Repository and create handoff document to instruct claude code, Claude Code built app, Claude Design Presentation.
Challenges we ran into
I never used Claude code before or built a game or used 3js... the whole process was a challenge of trial and error
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Full functioning learning game demo completely powered by Claude
What we learned
How to use Claude code and game design Q&A.
What's next for LociWorld
I don't know hoping I can network if anyone is interested on collaborating and doing more because nothing great is built alone. Maybe make this a full downloadable game app? Honestly It was just a fun challenge.
