Inspiration

One day I was headed to a meeting and lost my phone. I couldn't use GPS and I knew it was nearby. I never found my phone, but I realized if I could just press a button and find my phone, it would be the best thing in the world. That day the Locator Case was born. Locator Cases are protective phone covers that find lost phones even if they are dead from a one button key fob connected to a key chain. I realized many others could benefit from this technology after working as a representative handing out free phones as apart of the Universal Service Fund, I saw many people who live on the streets in LA and San Francisco face challenges rebuilding their life. One challenge is, every time someone gets something nice, they become a target for theft. Many times when we see people traveling with what seems like a lot of junk, it's actually that persons belongings because they cannot leave them or they will get stolen. With a Locator Case they can find it inside the building if they live in a shelter . Mobility is directly connected to poverty alleviation. It allows people to create opportunities and accelerate the timeline of upward mobility. Without a phone, we are disconnected. Locator Cases ensure those experiences aren't interrupted because we always lose the most important things at the worst moment. We will sell our technology and cases to companies that provide these phones. They give tablets to employees who are 1099 contract workers. They need the data and the merchandise given to reps to stay in the companies possession.There are many companies in this space. The Universal Service fund is a $7 billion government fund created to distribute phones to all people. Telecommunications companies all pay into the fund. The only qualification is be on Medical, EBT or a government funded program. A majority of the homeless people have these qualifications. I have walked the streets in San Francisco and Los Angeles and interacted with these people signing them up for free phones. Many people express thanks and gratitude for the service because they needed a phone so bad. This is an important item that can change the direction of people's lives.

What it does

Wirelessly locates phones from the computer chip inside the phone case. Many people find themselves in situations where their cell phone is their only phone. With Locator Cases people wirelessly page their lost phone from a one button key fob connected to a key chain.
