Inspiration
Our team was inspired by the idea that Canada is full of incredible destinations, yet many Canadians overlook them when planning vacations. We wanted to create an AI Travel Agent that makes discovering Canada simple, personalized, and affordable while encouraging people to explore and support local tourism.
We built our project by combining AI with travel recommendations. Users enter their budget, travel dates, interests, and preferences, and the AI suggests the best Canadian destinations for the season, recommends activities, and generates a personalized itinerary.
Throughout the project, we learned how AI can analyze user preferences to deliver tailored recommendations and improve the travel planning experience. We also gained experience in prompt design, integrating AI into a practical application, and designing a user-focused interface.
One of our biggest challenges was ensuring the AI provided relevant, personalized recommendations while staying focused on Canadian destinations. We also worked to balance budget, seasonality, and user preferences to create meaningful travel suggestions. Overcoming these challenges helped us build a tool that showcases Canada as an exciting vacation destination for everyone.
How we built it
