Inspiration
The idea for Localkart came from observing how small local दुकानदार struggle to compete with large platforms like Amazon and Flipkart. While these platforms offer convenience, they often overlook neighborhood stores that are essential to daily life. We wanted to build a solution that empowers local vendors by bringing them online while giving customers a faster, more personal shopping experience.
What it does
Localkart is a hyperlocal e-commerce platform that connects nearby shops with customers. Users can discover local stores, browse products, chat directly with sellers, and get fast delivery within their area.
How we built it
We built Localkart using a full-stack modern architecture:
Frontend: React for creating a responsive and user-friendly interface Backend: Node.js with Express for handling APIs and business logic Database: MongoDB for scalable and flexible data storage Cloud: Google Cloud Platform for deployment and scalability
We implemented:
Secure authentication and authorization system Vendor dashboard for managing products and orders Real-time chat feature for direct communication RESTful APIs for seamless frontend-backend integration
