Inspiration
Accessing and understanding local government laws is often frustrating for everyday citizens. Legal jargon, decentralized regulations, and outdated interfaces make it difficult to know your rights or responsibilities.
LocalGov.AI was born from the need to bridge the gap between citizens and civic law using AI to democratize access to local regulations and provide plain-English legal summaries tailored to your location.
What it does
LocalGov.AI is a civic legal assistant that helps users effortlessly understand local laws and regulations.
Users can:
- Select their city or state
- Ask legal questions in natural language
- Receive answers powered by GPT-4, explained in simple terms
- View source citations for transparency
- Save, bookmark, and revisit legal queries
All in a clean, accessible, and responsive UI.
