Inspiration

Many societal issues are left unaddressed due to lack of information.
Lack of immediate resolving or action
Government organizations are unaware about problems in the society which need their attention
Lack of awareness among the community and the motive to contribute to development of society.

What it does

A platform to report the issues directly without getting engaged in too many tiers.
It focuses on immediate addressing of issues for a more direct approach.
Allows the organization to prioritize which issues to be solved first.

How we built it

Challenges we ran into

Using multiple filters on database was causing errors
Including upvote system was troublesome

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We overcame these issues by researching and included multiple fixes

What we learned

We learnt about the real issues faced by the people due to the multi-tier system while addressing their problems. So, we tried to create a platform to report the issues and get it solved as soon as possible.

What's next for LocalEyes

Integration with IOT devices can be done to provide a more robust and real-time detection of what problems exist in the locality.
A reward system can be integrated to incentivize users to report more problems and contribute on the development of the locality.
Local NGOs, help groups, volunteers can partner up for more robust, quicker reporting and faster actions on the issues.
