Local Area Disaster System (LADS)

A Peer to Peer Network System for Natural Disasters

This app is designed to locate nearby users with Wifi-Direct, and gather data on nearby survivors. When an emergency responder gets in range of any survivors with the app or one of the survivors gets access to internet, this app will send the data to IBM Cloud and will utilize IBM Blockchain Technologies.

The information on the blockchain will be used to inform emergency workers of nearby survivors and increase response time.

Currently this app is a mockup and proof of concept. We're planning to implement the rest of the features between now and the submission deadline at September 28th.
