How it works
Just open the web-app in any browser and give permissions to use your location, when asked. It will take a few seconds before it loads tweets from people near you. After that, you can sit back and see people tweeting, on the map all in real-time. Yeah, new tweets will be auto-magically loaded asynchronously and added to the map.
Challenges I ran into
I had never used Google Maps API and had no clue about how I was going to show tweets on a map. But once I got hold of documentation, all seemed pretty easy and cake-walk.
Accomplishments that I'm proud of
I developed this project overnight(except a little bit of polishing)! Yeah, that's pretty much an accomplishment for me.
What I learned
Moral from that night was to never underestimate yourself. Even if you're told that you won't be able to do something, at least give it a try. If you don't even try, you'd be already lost. Why not lose after trying hard enough? ;)
