Inspiration
I was inspired by the recent development of technology, and consequently, the recent development of hacking technology.
What it does
Instead of saving your credentials online, this password manager saves it locally so the option of hacking from the internet cannot work. Your credentials are saved in a .dat file.
How we built it
We built it with Replit using Python
Challenges we ran into
We were at first confused on how to do this but then discovered that saving credentials locally could be much safer.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Learning how to save data to files so that when the program restarts that data is not lost
What we learned
Discovering how to save harder-to-hack files
What's next for Local Password Manager
