What it does
This project informs people about the harm that human actions have had on a few key locations in California.
How we built it
It is a simple website built with HTML, CSS and JavaScript.
Challenges we ran into
Two out of our three members are completely new to HTML, CSS and JavaScript so although this may seem easy from the outside looking in, we did have to learn multiple concepts as we went along.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
The end product is similar to what we imagined it would look like. This is something important to note given that a large part of the project was manipulating the visual aspect of the webpage using HTML and CSS.
What we learned
We learned that planning and communication are very important when working with others. Although we didn't always have the same ideas or had the same end goal in mind, we were able to complete this project by making sure everyone knew what their role was.
What's next for Local Effects of Pollution and Climate Change
We may add a few more places to it as we continue to practice using the tools. As far as functionality is concerned, this may be used in the future as a website template.
