Inspiration
To create a page for gamers to find games according to their preferences .
What it does
It allows user to to directly access the games from the page. Users can also type directly into the search bar for a particular game they have in mind.
How we built it
For the frontend HTML, CSS, and JavaScript is used. For the Backend JavaScript, Node.js is used. The backend retrieves all the external data, processes it, and sends JSON to the frontend. The website gets all its information from external APIs for Roblox and Steam.
Challenges we ran into
We ran into problems when it came to filtering the games genres, price, and player count. Also did not have enough time to implement Ai helper.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We are proud of being able to create a page that shows Steam and Roblox games that will directly take you to game when you click on them. The search bar also provides a way to search for a specific game.
What we learned
The team learned more about using external APIs and got a better understanding of frontend and backend communication.
What's next for Lobby
We plan to make the filtering actually work so users can find games based on specific price and genre. We also plan to add more gaming platforms such as Epic games and EA.
