Inspiration

Many talented young people in Africa struggle to access reliable information about scholarships, international careers, migration opportunities, and global education pathways. Information is often fragmented, difficult to understand, or inaccessible.

We created LOBA AI to simplify access to global opportunities through an intelligent conversational experience designed specifically for ambitious students and young professionals.

What it does

LOBA AI helps users explore international opportunities including:

• Studying abroad
• Scholarships
• Remote jobs
• Migration pathways
• Career planning
• Global mobility guidance

The platform provides personalized guidance through an AI-style conversational interface while organizing recommendations into structured action plans, required documents, summaries, and practical advice.

How we built it

We built LOBA AI using:

• Next.js App Router
• React + TypeScript
• Tailwind CSS
• MongoDB Atlas for session history
• Vercel for deployment

The application includes:

• responsive AI chat UI
• session history
• opportunity cards
• structured response generation
• mobile-first interface
• persistent conversation storage ## Challenges we ran into One of the biggest challenges was integrating external AI APIs while managing rate limits and deployment constraints during hackathon development.

We also focused heavily on building a responsive user experience that works smoothly across desktop and mobile devices while maintaining fast performance.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We are proud of building a fully deployed and functional AI-powered MVP capable of guiding users toward global opportunities in a clean and accessible way.

We are especially proud of the mission behind LOBA AI: helping ambitious young people access international opportunities more easily.
