Inspiration
We were inspired to help people understand the elements that go into getting a mortgage for a home. As college students, we do not often think about owning property, but it is something to consider as we age and move into the real world.
What it does
Gives prospective home owners information about their loan eligibility based off information they enter on the website. The page will give users insight on their preparedness to qualify for Fannie Mae financial help.
How we built it
We created this website with html5 and used javascript for the calculations.
Challenges we ran into
We ran into many issues involving creating a web page using react, and being able to pass code between the app page, and the .jsx pages.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We are proud to have overcome our issues with react, and set up a working web page that could help lots of people confused about their eligibility to use Fannie Mae services.
What we learned
Our group learned a lot about front-end development, mortgage details, and javascript.
What's next for Fannie Mae Work Today!
We would love to continue expanding our back-end development, and hopefully pursue our original goal of using react to build the website.
