Loan Calculator

Unfortunately due to many socio economic and educational borders, financial literacy is a skill that many people lack. We wanted to create a project that would make calculating the total cost of any loan more accessible

The calculator takes in the total amount, interest rate, and length of the loan and returns to the user the Loan EMI , total interest payable, the total loan amount, and a chart with the total interest and principle loan amount.

We built this website using html and css for the frontend and javascript for the backend

We struggled with the javascript and making the calculate button work

We're most proud of the chart that displays the total interest and principle loan amount

We learned how to design a website using javascript, html, and css

We hope to be able to create more tools to improve financial literacy and aid people with their finance decisions
