Inspiration
We were inspired to help others going through the same struggles of stress and disorganization.
What it does
This website helps students or anyone with a difficult workload to relieve stress. It has a journal to express your feelings and an exercise calendar to mark down the days you exercised. The to-do list feature allows you to see what else you have to do in the day. Lastly, there's a community page that allows the user to type into a chatroom and communicate with each other.
How we built it
-HTML, CSS, javascript, PHP, jquery -API
Challenges we ran into
We only have experience with Java, but to build this website we utilized CSS, javascript, PHP, jquery, and HTML. Positioning the elements on our website and saving user input into a database was a challenge for us.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We are proud of the way we designed our website and how the colors compliment each other. We are also proud that our team worked so well together and helped each other. The website is fully functional, beside it being unable to connect to a database and save the user input.
What we learned
We learned how to compromise ideas and make a website interactive. Our knowledge on website-building expanded greatly.
What's next for Loafy
Users will soon be able to log in to Loafy and save their progress in the journal and exercise section. Other users will be able to enter the chatroom and communicate with each other.
