Inspiration
Just wanted to inspect how does load stress engines like kmeter etc work and since i was a web dev one i tried to recreate the scheduler, request dispatcher etc keeping in mind concurrency concepts.
What it does
It generates loads of requests and schedules them for stress testing overthe given endpoint and calculates essential metrics like latency, success rates,p95 latency, avg executon time etc. It also provides option to download and share the pdf reports of any stress test done.
How we built it
Used js in node env. and mongoDb to persist older runs.
Challenges we ran into
Having a abort controller was indeed necessary to stop starvATION. getting metrics and calculating it on the fly helped to build such a asynchronus tool.
Built With
- javascript
- mongodb
- node.js
- react.js
