Inspiration
As a Mechanical Engineer, I have always found challenging to solve real life problems. One day, while working on a project, I realized to generate code for load and load duration curves in industrial plants and how much more productive I could be if programmed for me. This inspired me to create PlantEfficiency, an advanced method to calculate the load and load duration curves that could be convenient for establishing the industrial plant and to know the working condition of industrial plants
What it does
It is a python code which operates between different kinds of loads and time duration. When we input the required data the plotted graph will be coming as output. this will show the variation of loads and efficiency of the plant. It is easy to understand the working conditions of industrial plants.
How we built it
To build PlantEfficiency, I used the PYLAB and NUMPY libraries in Python language .We created the generalized functions for each type of load factors. When we input the data of time duration and different types of load factors in the respective functions it will be showing the plotted bars between load and time .
Challenges we ran into
One of the biggest challenge we faced while building PlantEfficiency was interlinking the various load factors to get new load factor. This require the knowledge in Power Plant and some mathematical operations.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
One of the biggest accomplishments that we are proud of is the fact that PlantEfficiency is now a reality. It is a tool that can easy for increasing efficiency of the plant, and we are proud to have created it. We are also proud of the fact that we were able to incorporate advanced python algorithms, making it a easy and efficient tool for Industrial owners.
What we learned
Building PlantEfficiency taught us a lot about the Power Plant working, Python programming. We learned how to use PYLAB and NUMPY to create an innovative tool that can streamline the real life applications. We also learned how to work through challenges and fine-tune our algorithms to ensure that the results are more accurate than the manual and time bound.
What's next for LOAD AND LOAD DURATION CURVES OF POWER PLANT IN PYTHON
We plan to continue to improve and refine PlantEfficiency , adding new features and functionality that will make it even more powerful and user-friendly. We also plan to explore ways to integrate PlantEfficiency by creating a code which will give the exact efficiency of the plant and we can observe how it is varying. We are excited to see where this project will take us and how it will revolutionize the world of Industries and Manufacturing.
