Inspiration

The urban environment shows an increasingly visible tension between opportunities and challenges in sectors like mobility and health, between practices related to participation and privacy, and more. With the dominance of digital information flows and the public call for transparency, we are currently right in the middle of the Open Data movement.

How it works

Solutions and opportunities for smart applications that are of great significance for urban livability, mobility, health, data culture and participation are the subject of the Living Data City Challenge. This challenge is a call for action to developers, designers, marketeers, industry experts along with hackers, artists and engineers.

Challenges I ran into

The Living Data City Challenge consists of four phases: • Challenges – involving proners* • Hacking – challenging teams + proners • Pitches – teams presenting concepts to clients/proners • Beta Track – development and implementing solutions
