Who?
We are Clay Crawford, Jessica Herring, Prem Patel, and Bernny Velasquez. We are all Computer Science majors at Berry College in Roma, Georgia. We are also the officers of the Berry College Computer Science Club.
What?
Meet the Color-Kind Video Editor. This program allows users to view a live camera feed from a simulated color-blind environment and allows them to make immediate changes to their screen to make more accessible visuals for those with color blindness.
Why?
Many virtual meeting platforms have very limited accessibility for those with color blindness. Meeting hosts that don't have color blindness create visuals for a presentation, and have no idea whether or not those visuals are easy to read and interpret by those with color blindness. We created CKVE to allow meeting hosts to understand and empathize with those that experience color blindness, and to promote accessibility for those with color blindness.
How?
CKVE was created in Processing. It uses a live camera feed from a selected input device and then displays the alterations that a user makes in real time.
