Inspiration

We were inspired by the problems outlined in the NCR sponsored events, specifically how we can help merchants optimize their performance, supply chain, inventory, and reduce waste.

What it does

It monitors the inventory as well as tracking trends in purchasing to help the merchant view their store at a glance.

How we built it

We used Flask + HTML/CSS to build the website. While the website is not fully functional, we created a prototype in Figma that shows the features.

Challenges

Throughout our project we encountered a lot of obstacles as we reshaped what our goal was and worked towards delivering a product. In particular, understanding and then using NCR's development tools was difficult as we are new to hackathons, so we had to learn the technologies.

Accomplishments/Learnings

We learned more about the NCR development tools - specifically, the BSP API and using Figma to design professional user experiences.

What's next for LiveStock

The most important goal is to implement everything from our prototype into the actual website. Once that is done, we would proceed by using actual merchant data rather than the set we generated to see how impactful our tool would be in the real world.
