Inspiration
r/SomebodyMakeThis had a post: "An app/website where you can find friends based on your favorite movies/tv-shows etc."
Based on that, I decided to build a Chat platform where you can create rooms for specific interests, like a movie, popular song, or trending topic.
What it does
- create a chat room
- find people to talk about that topic
- make friends based on your interests
- possibly avoid mental health issues by connecting to good people
How we built it
For now, it just design/ideation, but basically would be:
- Azure SignalR for real-time communication
- other Azure infrastructure such as:
- Functions,
- Storage (for animated gifs),
and Structured Data (probably CosmosDB)
React + Bootstrap for front-end - being built with Bootstrap Studio ATM
Challenges I ran into
- project management
- time management
In any case, I'm gonna build it for the fun :)
