\section*{LiveLong AI}
\textbf{Tagline:} Your intelligent health companion for understanding prescriptions, managing health records, and tracking daily wellness.
\section*{Inspiration}
Healthcare instructions are often difficult for patients to understand and follow. Complex prescriptions, unclear medication schedules, and lack of centralized health information often lead to poor adherence and missed follow-ups.
We were inspired to build a system that simplifies medical instructions and helps patients manage their health more effectively.
\section*{What it does}
LiveLong AI is an AI-powered healthcare assistant that helps users understand and manage their health.
The system allows users to:
\begin{itemize} \item Upload prescriptions and automatically extract medications and instructions \item Generate a personalized medication and care schedule \item Ask questions through an AI assistant \item Retrieve patient medical records \item Track wellness metrics such as heart rate, sleep, and activity \item Link their ABHA ID to access health records \end{itemize}
\section*{How we built it}
The system combines document AI, intelligent agents, and a modern web interface.
\textbf{Backend:} Built with Python using FastAPI for API services and agent orchestration.
\textbf{Document Processing:} Azure Document Intelligence extracts text from prescriptions.
\textbf{AI Processing:} Azure OpenAI interprets prescriptions and converts them into structured medical data.
\textbf{Frontend:} A React dashboard allows users to upload prescriptions, view care plans, interact with the AI assistant, and monitor health metrics.
\section*{Challenges we ran into}
Some challenges included integrating multiple AI services, handling unstructured prescription text, and ensuring that different AI agents could collaborate effectively.
We also encountered deployment and API compatibility issues while working with Azure OpenAI models.
\section*{What we learned}
Through this project we learned how to build full-stack AI applications and design multi-agent systems.
We also gained experience integrating document AI, cloud APIs, and conversational AI into a single healthcare platform.
\section*{What's next}
Future improvements could include wearable device integration, predictive health insights, and deeper healthcare interoperability using standards like FHIR.
