Inspiration

Choosing where to live is difficult. We want to make sure we live as close as possible to our POI (work, studies, family...) and not waste too much time in transit.

We also like saving the planet, one trip at a time. So we created a service that shows you the most reachable available housing that matters to you.

What it does

It takes your location preferences, calculates which zones fit your travel time requirements using public transport, and displays available housing options in those areas.

How we built it

Microservices

• Slik react.js frontend: to enter your preferences and show an awesome map
• Flask backend: that will generate the isochrones matching your preferences
• Express backend: selects the appropriate accommodations within the isochrones

• Apartment scraping
• Building graph from GTFS data and isochrone generation
• GIS object manipulation
