The world has awakened to pandemic & people have lost their loved ones and their jobs.Such people feel to be depressed & have suicidal thought.So this website is for them to prevent suicidal thoughts.

Inspiration

As the pandemic has hit our country like a truck, people have lost their loved ones, their jobs and important parts of their lives. After everything that has happened people have been suffering from suicidal thoughts-they have lost their confidence and their belief in living. This inspired us to work on live, through live we aim to make people find their lost belief in the beauty of life. The main motive is to prevent the people from ending their loves and to provide a platform where they can come and practice ways to be less stressed, and live better.

What it does

The primary motive of our website is to save lives, so we believe that by introducing "live," we will be able to save as many lives as possible and encourage our users to exercise self-love and other healthy behaviours that will improve their lives.

A patient can directly book an appointment with a psychologist or a psychiatrist, and the doctor that has been assigned to the patient will contact the patient on an immediate basis. We hope to keep track of those who are on the edge of suicide with our daily record so that we may intervene and help them find the will to live. (Explain activities tab) We have set our parameters where, if someone has harmed themselves for more than three days then they will be immediately assigned to a psychiatrist and will be under code red and the ones who have been regularly harming themselves for 3 days will be under code read and will be assigned a psychologist immediately. All data entered by users who are under code red and code orange will be accessible to our psychologists and psychiatrists. So that they are aware of the user's personal profiles and can prohibit them from ending their lives.

How we built it

After choosing the topic, we first came up with ideas- that will help us prevent people from ending their lives. After that we worked on the ideas which were the best solution and can be implied.

After all the brainstorming was done, we planned a rough layout for the website and then it was hours of coding, designing the illustrations and writing the content for the website which made it all possible.

Challenges we ran into

During the brainstorming process of “live”, there were so many ideas that our team came up with, but how those can be implied and how it will help us to reach our aim was the hardest to decide. But will teamwork and discussing each and every aspect of the idea throughout we got through the challenges and found the way through which we could imply all our ideas.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We are proud that all the ideas that we wanted to implement-we were able to do so, and Live came out to be just how we wanted it to be. But more than that we are proud that we will be able to use live and save lives of thousands of people

What we learned

The best thing that we learned was teamwork and patience, while working on Live there were so many times when the code didn’t give us the output we wanted it to give or when the way wanted to imply the ideas, it didn’t come out that way. But then we worked harder on it and made it possible. So with patience and the trust in our team members, everything became possible.

What's next for Live

We plan to add an interface to live, where patients can chat or directly be on a video call with their assigned doctors, along with that we plan to give live a proper backend. As we are just first year students in our college, we implemented all the knowledge we had into live, But as the horizon of our knowledge grows, we plan to make live better and better and one day make it possible in real life.
