Inspiration

During a meeting in my office, I saw my manager recording the meeting, so I asked him about why was he recording. Then he told that at the end of the month he would summarize each meeting. So this is where I got an idea of developing a lecture summarizer.

What it does

1. Instantly summarizes audio lectures.
2. Provides key takeaways.
3. Answers user questions based on the summary.

How we built it

1. User selects audio via CustomTkinter GUI.
2. Audio uploaded using Gemini API.
3. Gemini 1.5 Pro summarizes audio.
4. Summary displayed & stored.
5. Chatbot uses summary for Q&A.

Challenges we ran into

Challenges:

1. API errors (v1beta not found).
2. GUI freezing during processing.
