Inspiration

Our old group chats had gone quiet, and we kept finding ourselves reminiscing about times we wished we could recreate. We wanted a way to reconnect that didn't demand a huge time commitment. That's when live a little was born.

What it does

Live a little assigns one random person in your group a real-world task each day, a small push to step outside your routine and actually do something. Beyond the daily challenge, a full suite of party games keeps the whole group engaged whenever you're together. The goal is simple: more time finding new people, trying new things, and reconnecting with the people who matter most.

How we built it

We used React Native, Expo, and a Supabase database.

We spent half the hackathon just finding the right idea. The process was long, but the results speak for themselves.

What's next for live a little

We're planning to publish live a little on the App Store. While similar apps exist, they tend to get ignored after the first few days. live a little is different because the daily challenges and party games give people a genuine, recurring reason to come back.
