Inspiration
We started Livaa with one urgent question: Why does fashion, a form of self-expression, create so much waste?
Each year, billions of clothing items go unworn—piling up in closets and landfills. The industry contributes over 10% of global carbon emissions, yet users still feel overwhelmed, indecisive, and disconnected from what they own.
We realized: it’s not just a shopping problem—it’s a styling problem. People don’t need more clothes—they need smarter ways to wear what they already have.
That’s why we built Livaa, an AI stylist that helps you reimagine your wardrobe, shop mindfully, and express yourself—without costing the planet.
What it does
Livaa is your AI-powered personal stylist that helps you dress better, waste less, and shop smarter.
Learns your style through smart onboarding
Digitizes your wardrobe and tracks sustainability impact
Suggests daily outfits based on weather, mood, and plans
Matches online items with your existing wardrobe
Promotes mindful fashion with eco insights and wear tracking
How we built it
We built Livaa as a smart layer between fashion, behavior, and sustainability—combining cutting-edge AI with user-first design.
Conversational AI: Trained on fashion semantics, mood interpretation, and contextual styling cues
Computer Vision & ML: Enable wardrobe digitization and visual matching
Personalization Engine: Uses user inputs (style, color, budget, lifestyle) to deliver real-time outfit suggestions
Sustainability Layer: Tracks wear history, cost-per-wear, and CO₂ savings
Modular Architecture: Integrates cross-platform shopping feeds and creator wardrobes
Challenges we ran into
Cross-Platform Integration Matching external product images with user-owned clothes was challenging—especially keeping it personal and fast.
Personal Style Understanding Translating vague inputs like "minimal but edgy" into structured data for the AI was complex. We solved this via layered onboarding and learning loops.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Built a working AI stylist prototype in record time
Designed an end-to-end product: from onboarding to outfit suggestions
Created a smart cross-platform matcher using items from your wardrobe
Embedded real-time eco insights like CO₂ savings and cost-per-wear
Brought sustainability into styling with delightful, measurable impact
What we learned
User inputs are messy—but gold for personalization Users describe style differently. Guiding onboarding with smart questions helped the AI learn without overwhelming the user.
Wardrobe digitization requires trust and ease People won’t upload photos unless it’s fast, private, and worth it. Giving value back (like eco scores) was key.
Styling logic blends intuition and algorithms “Outfit suggestions” aren’t just about matching colors—it’s about wearability, aspiration, and context.
Sustainability is most powerful when it’s personal CO₂ saved, cost-per-wear, and progress goals made users feel seen and motivated.
Modular builds = faster scaling Plug-and-play architecture helped us validate features quickly and set the stage for integrations with creators and brands.
What's next for Livaa
We’re evolving Livaa from an AI stylist into a full fashion ecosystem. Next, we will:
Onboard tailors, stylists, and designers to offer expert guidance and creativity
Connect users to local tailors for custom fits, fixes, and alterations
Partner with resale and recycling stores to promote circular fashion
Expand from suggestions to end-to-end solutions—Livaa becomes the go-to hub for styling, altering, and reusing fashion
