Inspiration
The inspiration for this app came from my family and those around myself who were are neuro-divergent and the difficulties they faced with daily tasks, becoming easily overwhelmed and stressed.
What it does
Little Wins is predominantly focused on taking tasks and breaking them down into smaller, manageable chunks, with some extra built in features to help with focus and stress.
How we built it
Firstly we brainstormed different potential apps around the base concept, once settling on this one, we decided on the tech-stack. We wanted to make the app accessible, hence we decided upon a web-based application and built it on cursor. We used Git-hub and then Code Rabbit for code review, then deployed on vercel.
Challenges we ran into
One of the main challenges we found was regarding our UI layout, we had a lot of debate about whether content was too much, too bright or too colourful, before we settled on the final look.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
At this point in time, we are proud of our the functionality and accessibility of the app, anyone can make use of it and the features work better than intended, particularly the AI features, which we have not seen before, especially within the timeframe.
What we learned
We learned how AI can be used in a positive and productive manner for society, helping others who may be overlooked generally.
What's next for littlewins
Consultation with neuro-divergent groups and charities, ensuring that the application is truly functional for these individuals and implementing changes to further push the usability and friendliness of the app for the community.
